Very popular because it is extremely simple and easy to make, this spicy traditional recipe uses 4 staple ingredients of Italian cuisine: pasta, tomatoes, garlic, and especially red chilli peppers, hence the name “arrabbiata” meaning “angry” in Italian for their ability to turn your face red.
Place a pan with plenty of water on the hob and add salt when it comes to the boil. Add the pasta and cook for the time stated on the pack. Meanwhile, chop the tomatoes and fry the garlic and chopped chillies in a pan. After a few moments, remove the garlic from the pan and add the tomatoes and salt. Once cooked, drain the pasta and pour it into the pan with the tomato sauce, stir well and serve with a sprinkle of the chopped parsley.
